Time Sickness

Here is the last song I will be releasing from "The All American Kids Club Anthology." As previously noted, the tracks were transferred to digital without any modern enhancement. This project was a nice distraction through my wife's second pregnancy and I am now retiring from the nostalgia business.
There are a lot of tracks still in the vault, but now it is time to record new material for my next EP. I mainly put this song out for closure. You never know when your time is up, and if by chance I should never get back to these songs, I feel good with this period of my youth immortalized on YouTube. Thanks for your interest and enjoy.

Tantalizer

Sorry, I was experiencing technical difficulties last night. Mostly my brain malfunctioning with the fatigue of prolonged anticipation. Waiting for a child to be born is a thousand times worse than watching water boil. It is not going to just bubble after fifteen minutes, there is a whole, dramatic process that is involved. There is, of course, a tremendous payoff for all the effort.
Tomorrow is my wife's due date and I cannot seem to construct a cohesive thought. It seems like a good time to release some more music from the vault. This song is from a never-to-be-released album titled, "The All American Kids Club Anthology." The tracks were transferred to digital without any modern enhancement. I plan on releasing more as I will not be able to write intelligibly for a couple weeks. Thanks for the support and enjoy!

New Wave Belt

It has been interesting to go back in time and fight with some demons. This project came to me at the perfect time. The haggard VHS tapes would not have made it many more years, and I will not have the time to readdress this digital production.
I am satisfied with the 8 videos, they cover the four years I was on stage from 1996 until 1999. It was ultimately my choice to walk away from the greatest musical experiment that I had ever experienced. At the time it was a distraction from a five year long Bachelor's degree that need not go to six.
I continue to enjoy making music and I will present new tracks later this year. Along with the videos, I pushed through a pile of ancient audio tapes this past summer, in order to convert the warping tapes to digital tracks.
The All American Kids Club was not good at producing hi-fidelity merchandise. By the time of our last recording we were at the height of our prowess. We were also dancing on the edge of our grave. The last set of recordings were cherry-picked and I will release 30+ tracks from the All American Kids Club soon.
As a father, I was compelled to finish this archive and present it to the universe. There are no accolades or awards, just a heavy dose of nostalgia. Nothing to gain except a few smiles for friends who were there. I am personally glad to have those special evenings documented. I would also like to thank all the individuals who shot footage and saved it for all these years. You can check out my YouTube page for all the remaining "Music Past" videos.

Coffee Shop

The great video conversion fiasco is proving to be a real pain in my ass. Does anybody remember VCR tracking? What a horrible way to constantly fight with image quality. This quick flashback to the not so distant past, has made me appreciate where we are today. I have had a real disdain for analog tape since I was a kid. Remember fast forward and rewind, I didn't have time for that in middle school, much less now that everything is instantly at our fingertips.
It is questionable whether any of the concert footage will be usable at this point. So, in order to keep this project moving in a forward direction, I opted for a montage of band flyers and imagery.
"Coffee Shop" was from the last AAKC recording session. The song was well produced and I felt it deserved a digital home.

The All American Kids Club

As any good archivist, I have been sitting on a shoebox full of analog goods slowly deteriorating for the last fifteen years. It is time to convert this pile and share with the public. I came across a lot of fun tracks that are surprisingly good, considering there was no Auto-Tune in 1997. This is just the tip of the iceberg, if I could only find a working VCR and tape deck.
The original animation for this clip is by Jon Read of the now infamous "Wiggins." He also happened to be the guitarist for the "All American Kids Club," while your humble author was the bassist. We went through countless drummers, and the AAKC needs no further introduction.
